Eighteen years after finding the arctic, Matthew A. Henson, Robert E. Peary, and four Inuit guides by the names of Eginwah, Seegloo, Ootah, and Ooqueah set off to the North Pole. Henson and the Inuit guides were the first to find the North Pole. But Peary said that Henson's coordinates were off and he found the pole before them.
